NYCI offers a range of classes and seminars, allowing students to simply satisfy their curiousity about iridology and herbs, or learn enough to become practitioners themselves.
Iridology Certification Course
Module I teaches beginning students the basic tools and techniques of Iridology
Module II focuses on applying iris signs to the eight body systems
Module III covers reading the brown iris, and setting up your practice
Herb and Nutrition Class Focuses on crafting an herbal regimen for yourself or your clients
(class not required for Iridology certification)
Herbology Course leading to Certification as Master Herbalist
(commencing September 2008)
Level 1 teaches the basic tools and techniques of Herbology
Level 2 focuses on specific principles and practices of Herbology
Level 3 covers in-depth therapeutics and pharmacy, as well as practicums
Herbologist: Practicioner and Professional Development covers advanced skills and possible specializations
(class not required for Herbology certification)
Professional Seminars are offered on a range of topics

NYCI grants an Advanced Certificate in iridology upon completing Applied Iridology plus Advanced Iridology classes (the Herb and Nutrition Class is optional). An advanced certificate requires ten iris readings, including two true brown irides, with the following documentation:
- Eye Charts (or photos)
- Evaluation checklists
- Client Recommendations
